"The Walking Dead" (1995) Letters to Anderson (Jean-Claude La Marre) and Brooks (Vonte Sweet)

Two (2) letters created by the production for use in "The Walking Dead" (1995) for Jean-Claude La Marre's character "PFC Earl Anderson," and Vonte Sweet's character "PFC Joe Brooks."

Letter to Anderson: Prop letter consists of a sealed envelope that seems to contain a piece of card stock. Stamp with illustrated skiers from the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics is on the obverse top proper left corner. Handwritten cursive text on the obverse top proper right corner reads “[illegible] / 12750 [illegible] / North Hollywood / Ca 91606.” Handwritten text on the obverse center reads “PFC Anderson / 2290491 USMC / Company A 1st Battalion 7th [illegible] / 1st Marine [illegible]: (Rein) FMF / FPO San Francisco.”

Letter to Brooks: Prop letter consists of a sealed envelope that contains a handwritten letter. Stamp with illustrated skiers from the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics is on the obverse top proper left corner. Handwritten cursive text on the obverse top proper right corner reads “Barbra Jean / 1735 Perry Ave. / Detroit - 67 / Michigan.” Handwritten text on the obverse center reads “PFC Brooks J. / 2270460 USMC / Company A 1st Battalion 7th [illegible] / 1st Marine [illegible]: (Rein) FMF / FPO San Francisco.”

Condition

Letter to Anderson: Prop is creased throughout. The edges, especially the top and bottom, are worn with abrasions. There is brown and pink staining throughout the prop, but this could be intentional from production.

Letter to Brooks: Envelop is moderately creased throughout. Top and bottom corners on the proper left are folded. Small spots of staining sporadically throughout envelope.
